Sunday Worship, June 14th: God’s Transformative Work In Us
In 1 Thessalonians 1, Paul highlights the evidence of God’s transforming work in the lives of believers. True faith is seen not only in what we believe, but also in how we live, serve, love, and endure with hope. This transformation begins with God, who calls people to Himself and works through the power of the Holy Spirit to change hearts and lives.
The Thessalonian believers became a powerful example of faith because they embraced the gospel and allowed God to shape them. Even in the midst of suffering, they experienced joy through the Holy Spirit, demonstrating that God’s work in us is not dependent on our circumstances. This message challenges us to consider whether God is transforming our actions, our attitudes, and our response to life's difficulties as He continues the work He began in us.
